Task Lighting- Use table lamps or free standing lamps for working on individual projects such as a puzzle, game, paper, crocheting or other hobby. Ideally, living room lamps should be set slightly behind and to the left or right of the area being illuminated so the light can come from behind the person's shoulder and pour light on towards the project at hand. Use smaller track lighting fixtures or other low-level lighting agents for computers and television viewing. This avoids glare and allows the screen its proper image display.
Therefore the lighting in this room needs to be sufficient in order to accommodate such a wide variety of different uses. This is easily achieved by using lighting that is both flexible in quantity and quality. And, instead of having just one mediocre light bulb hanging from the centre of the room - you can go wild and give your imagination a run for its money by incorporating downlighters, recessed lighting, decorative table lamps, reading lamps, wall lights, maybe picture lights as well to highlight an interesting object, and of course your pendant lighting or chandeliers.
In the living room, many activities go on frequently. In order to keep the room feels comfortable, especially at night, the lighting setting on living room should be flexible. General lighting is used to light up some activities at many room corners. In other side, specific lighting is needed for lighting up special activities so these activities go on without obstacle.
